About Beers & Bogeys
Hey there—welcome to Beers & Bogeys! I’m a golf nut from Canada, playing off an 8 handicap (give or take a few mulligans). My passion for golf isn’t just about chasing lower scores—it’s about enjoying the game with good friends, cold drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere.
How It All Started
Back in 2022, I organized a small golf trip with a few buddies to upstate New York. We called it “Beers & Bogeys” because, well, none of us are pros (most of us are mid- to high-handicappers), and we enjoy a having a few on the course. The trip took on a life of its own. Each year, we’ve added more people, new courses, and plenty of memorable moments—like our tradition of “shotgun mulligans,” where you can retake a shot so long as you shotgun a beer first!
What You’ll Find Here
- Golf Trip Planning Tips: We’ve traveled to places like Malone and the Finger Lakes. Every summer, I share the plans, rules, and recaps of our trip so fellow weekend warriors can get inspired.
- Casual Golf Tips: Since I’m a passionate golfer with a decent handicap, I’ll dish out tips and drills that actually help your game without taking it too seriously.
- Indoor Simulator Adventures: I’ve set up a SkyTrak+ in my garage to keep the rust off during our harsh Canadian winters. From simulator software reviews to fun at-home challenges, I’ll show you how to level up your game year-round.
Why “Beers & Bogeys”?
Because golf should be fun—even if we’re not breaking course records. I believe in keeping it affordable, accessible, and social, so nobody gets left out. If you love the camaraderie of golf trips, the thrill of friendly competition, and the occasional mulligan, you’ll fit right in.
Thanks for stopping by! If you have any questions about our annual trip, tips to share, or just want to say hello, get in touch here. Cheers to better swings and cold brews on the fairways!
